On September 3, 2024, an engaging and joyous event was held at Kalpakghar, Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park to celebrate Teachers' Day. Local school teachers actively participated in the program, which included a range of interactive activities.
One of the key highlights of the day was the “Meet the Scientist” session, where Dr. Ashish Arora from IISER Pune engaged with the teachers. He discussed various aspects of magnetism and shared his inspiring journey of becoming a scientist, offering valuable insights that motivated the educators.

The event was graced by our Chief Guest, Mr. Vijaykumar Sudhakar Thorat, Assistant Commissioner of Primary Education, Pimpri Chinchwad. He addressed the teachers about the current state of school education and the numerous opportunities available for students. He also visited Kalpakghar and shared his thoughts on STEM education.

The workshop featured several attractions, including experiments with liquid nitrogen, Tarangan Planetorium show, and a tour of Kalpakghar. Additionally, teachers had the opportunity to experience virtual reality (VR) headsets, adding to the event's uniqueness.
During the event, Mr. Pravin Tupe, Founder Director of Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park, inaugurated and distributed membership cards for ‘Kalpakghar’ to the attending teachers. These membership cards will assist Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation teachers in preparing for national competitions like the “Inspire Awards.”

The objective of the event was to provide teachers with in-depth knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and to introduce innovative teaching methods. The program concluded with the felicitation of all the participating teachers.
This successful initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park, IISER Pune, and Tata Technologies.
